Rental Terms & General Conditions
Cancellation Policy
- Free cancellation up to 3 days before the date of arrival.
- Ιn case of cancellation in less than 3 days before the date of arrival 50% of the total amount will be charged to your credit card.
- Ιn case of cancellation in less than 24 hours before the arrival or no show, 100% of the total amount will be charged to your credit card.
- No money will be refunded after the contract is completed or car returned earlier than specified.
Driving License
The driving license of the driver must be issued at least one year before the rental date. In case that the driver is not a European Union citizen, he is obliged to have an international driving license to drive legally in Greece.
Insurance & Responsibility Amounts
The driver is covered with :
- Third party Insurance Covers the driver in case of death and body damage of third parties with an excess up to the sum of € 500.000 and material damage of third parties with an excess up to the sum of € 100.000.
- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) The Collision Damage Waiver limits the responsibility of the driver for car damage. The responsibility of the driver is limited to € 600 for all Categories.
- Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) The Collision Damage Waiver limits the responsibility of the driver for car damage. The responsibility of the driver is limited to € 300 for all Categories.
No Insurance
- For anything that happens while the driver is under the influence of alcohol or narcotic substances.
- For damage that has been caused by driving in roads without blacktop.
- For damage that has been caused at the bottom part of car, at the roof, at the tyres, at the mirrors and the aerial place.
- For your personal objects found in the car.
- For accidents that were caused with a driver not declared in the lease contract.
The Damage and Loss expenses of the car are the tenant's responsibility even if the tenant is covered by the insurance of his credit card. In this case, he is responsible for the payment to Nomikos Car Rental for the entire cost of repair or replacement of car, which he will then claim from his card.
Fuel
The car should be returned with the same quantity of fuel with which it was delivered by Nomikos Car Rental Santorini.
Additional Driver
In every rental, only the driver is covered. In case that someone else wants to drive, should have with him, his driving license, in order to be reported as additional drivers in the contract.
Driver's Age
Minimum 2Children Seats years old and maximum 75 years old.
Children Seats
Child & Booster seats are available with a daily cost and they should be mentioned at the reservation. No baby seats available.
Credit Card
In order to rent a car a credit card is always required (Visa, Master Card, Amex), not a debit card, (even if the tenant finally pays the cost in cash), from which we bound the release amount, until the end of the rental period.
Vehicular Infringements
The fines and by any chance other consequences burden exclusively the tenant, who is compelled to pay in the corresponding government services. Otherwise, he is responsible for the constant sum reported as "Administrative Expenses".
Administrative Expenses
In case of an accident or fine from vehicular infringement, there exists an additional charge of € 50 plus VAT for administrative expenses that will be covered by the driver, independently of his culpability, and will in no case be returned.
Taxes
V.A.T. & all local taxes included.
Transporting
Transporting the car to other islands or the mainland is strictly prohibited.
